Raftsundet Norway

Travelled : 138km
Stay: Tengelfjord, Raftsundet. Roadside parking, waterfront with beautiful view. 68.3739 15.0767

This morning we continued our circular trip around Langoya Island.

We stopped in Sortland, hoping to fill up on LPG but it no longer exits. Luckily we have enough for another 5 days which should get us to Svolvaer.

We then retraced our steps to the E10 and after going through 4 tunnels, the longest being 6.3km, we found ourselves at the turnoff to Digermulen.
The road follows the Raftsundet which is quite a narrow water passage that the Hurtigruten travels through. The scenery was beautiful and there were plenty of roadside stops to choose from.

We picked our spot and then enjoyed the rest of the day watching the boat traffic go past.

We also saw some dolphins and a white tailed eagle.

Mark got some fresh water from a nearby waterfall ( there are plenty of those!) and gave Bluey a bit of a spruce up. No midnight sun watching tonight as the sun descended behind the mountain which cooled things down a little after a warm sunny day.
