Paris to Amiens

Travelled:153km mostly motorway €10.50
Visited: Paris, Amiens
Stay:Amiens

It was a rainy start to the day so we started with a shopping session at Gallary Lafayette and then an epic journey for the search of a lunch spot. We even took the train to the Bastille and that is where we ate a very enjoyable meal. Then it was time to return to our apartment near Pigalle to get ready to leave and catch the train...Tom and Kristy back to London and Claire and us to Bluey. Unfortunately it all became a bit if a rush when when Tom and Kristy realised they had mixed up their departure time and had to make a mad dash to Gare du Nord managing to get there just in time. The rest of us took the RERB train line to Mitry Caye, got picked up and then drove Bluey to Amiens, parking next to the lake amd wondering into town for a bite to eat at the Creperie.

More fun in Paris

Stay/Visited: Paris

We spent another fun day exploring Paris.

We took the metro to Notre Dame and we were greeted by rain.

After a coffee and the purchase of some ponchos we were on our way and it didnt take long to enter the Cathedral.

We then walked throught the Latin Quarter to Luxumberg Gardens before stopping for a Menu Lunch.

Feeling quite fortified we made our way to Monmarte via the metro. We wondered past the artists and then sat on the Sacre Coeur steps and were entertained by some buskers.

It was then time to wonder back to the apartment for a rest before dinner.

A Beautiful Day in Paris

Visited/Stay: Paris

We had a wonderful day in Paris. We took the metro to the Eiffel Tower and waited an hour in line to reach the lift to Level 2. It was that busy that the lifts to the top were suspended. Not wanting to wait in line again we enjoyed the view from this level before going down to level 1. We then walked to the Arc de Triumph and then down the iconic Champs Elysee. We took a side street to enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing on our way through the gardens to the Louvre, taking photos on the way... By now it was 5pm so we took the metro back to the apartement. We are lucky enough to have a choice of 4 stops that are within 8mins walk. After recouperating we were back out for dinner.

Paris France

Travelled:25km
Stay: Paris airbnb apartement

We drove to the carpark we booked through Parkingdeparis.com at Mitry Mory about 8km from Charles de Gaulle airport which included free transport to and from the airport. We got there in plenty of time to meet Claire and then caught the RER B to Gare de Nord from where we walked 15mins to the apartment. We then went for a walk through some streets of Paris whilst we waited for Tom and Kristy to arrive from London on the Eurostar. We enjoyed a meal and a walk up to Sacre Coeur and took in the view of Paris at night.
