Montenegro through Croatia and into Bosnia

Travelled: 214km
Stay: Autocamp Dane, Medugorje, Bosnia. €10/night includes amenities, services, electricity. GPS N43°11.7198' E17°40.5402'
Visited: drove coast line of Montenegro and Croatia. Bosnia -Kravica falls near  Medugorje

We finished our drive along the shores of Jadransko more and drove out of Montenegro back into Croatia.

We met up with Mike and Jan at the Lidle supermarket, where we also met a couple from Brisbane.

We had a good chat before heading off towards Bosnia.

We drove along some beautiful coast line and pulled off the road for a lunch stop. We couldn't resist buying some fresh oysters.

We continued on the road through a small section of  Bosnia then back into Croatia and then back into Bosnia...lots of boarder crossings today! (8 boarder checks in total!)

Our destination was the water falls in Karvica. Our GPS did not work here, so we had to rely on our maps and Mike and Jan's new GPS. After a couple of stops and asking for directions we found the falls. We paid €2.50 ea and walked down. It was very pretty and the boys decided to refresh themselves in the cool water.

We were told we could not stay here over night, so Mike was able to find a few camping areas near the town of Medugorje. We stopped in a small privately owned set up for €10 a night. After dinner Jan and I went for a wonder into town and quickly realised that it was a pilgrimage site. There were a lot of shops selling religious items and there were 1000's of people attending the mass at the church.

Montenegro

Travelled:104km
Stay: Autocamp Naluka, Morinj €18 (no electricity +€3) all other services included. GPS N42.486938 E18.652140
Visited: Kotor

After we had a chat with Mike and Jan (who we may bump into again as we will be travelling North as well), we went and did a bit of shopping at Croatia's Konzum supermarket. We bought some beef rollmops to cook tonight. We then made our way out of Croatia and across the border into Montenegro. We had to go through 2 boarder check points.  Luckily we had our insurance papers as the border guard wanted to have a look at them.

We first noticed that the roads were not as well kept and the houses seemed a bit poorer but picked up a bit around the bay.

Camy wanted us to take the ferry across at the narrow entrance to the bay costing €9.

Unfortunately the road pointing to Kotor at the other end was a very narrow coastal road. Luckily it was not very busy and Mark managed very well with the occasional oncoming traffic. It was however, very picturesque.

We managed to stop and look over the water at Kotor and the huge cruise ship docked there.

We had a quick look on the internet at the parking we had seen in Camper stop and programmed Camy to take us there. (We later found out that our roaming plan does not include this country and in a matter of seconds we had spent €50! Ouch...) Anyway. We made it to the parking next to the dock just outside of the old fortified town @ €2/hour (€20/24hrs) Yes Montenegro's currency is euros. Hence the assumption the our data plans -a french sim and italian sim would work here, but ok in Croatia that is still using kunas.
We have a stroll around this very touristy town and opt out of climbing up to the fort.

We then decide to head back to Croatia but on the way via the wider coastal road on the other side of the bay, we spot this lovely Autocamp beside a river and close to the bay beach. Mark had a siesta while I tried to sort out the internet expenses. Before dinner we had a nice walk along the foreshore admiring the amazing scenery.
