Stay: Haukland - beach parking with toilets and bins. Coastal walks. 68.19936 13.53006
Finally the clouds have come after 8 days of sunshine. We headed up to see the surf beach at Unstad.
There were quite a few campers and a pretty beach but no facilities for 150kr and no surf! Not that we were going to do any.
As we doubled back we drove down to a small village, Maervoll and stopped to have breakfast.
Then just before Borg we had a quick look at the BBQ area at the sports ground. (68.23705 13.69240)
In Leknes we just used the service point at the Esso which also had the cheapest diesel so far (12.05kr/l). Then we were off again to have a look the beach at Uttakleiv (overnight 150kr with toilets).
We decided to return to Haukland beach (free although there is a 'no camping' sign everyone seems to ignore) which was before the tunnel.
We did a lovely walk around the headland back to Uttakleiv and later up back to the lake offering great views of the bay. The rest of the afternoon we relaxed and kept warm in Bluey. What a contrast in weather from yesterday.
