Crossing the Arctic Circle Norway

Travelled: 75km plus 2 ferries
Stay: near Stokkvagen- free lay buy, water and mountain views 66.3269 13.1625

We passed an enjoyable morning chatting with Cheryl and Brett as the rain continued its deluge. They are a lovely couple and we hope that someday our paths may cross once more.
After lunch we said our goodbyes and we continued our southerly journey, whilst they headed north.
Around the corner we got another view of the glacier that due to the rain we did not go to visit.
Just before the ferry at Foroy we stopped to do some shopping as we weren't sure if we would find another chance today. The ferry was in so we didn't need to wait to get on before starting the short 10min trip to Agskardet. After reading a few blogs and with a hint from Cheryl and Brett, we decided to try and pass Bluey off as a 6m van....it worked! This is more than half price reduction. Mark also gets a 50% senior (60+) discount as the 2nd passenger. All up it cost us 95nok instead of 230nok.
Over the water we go...although our GPS thinks we are under it! Hope the ferry is not sinking...
Once back on the Fv17 we seemed to be in a convoy with other Motorhomes heading to the next ferry in Jektvik. We passed some beautiful scenery albeit under cloud and rain.
We made it in time but unfortunately the ferry was full so we ended up having to wait for the next one anyway. We tried our luck once more with Bluey's length and succeeded again, paid 230nok, this time saving us 300nok! (Website : torghattennord.no)

The crossing was an hour in duration and we crossed once again the Arctic Circle (first time was at Santas village in Finland).

Along the route we passed a few good picnic spots that Motorhomes were already occupying but we continued on to a spot that Cheryl and Brett had stayed at.

After we were parked we quickly went for a walk to have a look at the waterfall before the rain once again pelted down on Bluey.
