To Gryllefjord, Senja Is. Norway

Travelled: 67km
Stay: Gryllefjord Senja Is. Parking near tunnel and bridge 69.3551 17.1258

Today we woke to beautiful sunshine and the thermals got the boot! We started the day climbing up the 'nut' which offered great views of the village and Mefjord.

Then on the road again, first stop being Ersfjord, at a beautiful sandy beach with Aqua marine blue clear waters and snow capped mountains plunging into the sea! There was a very unique golden toilet block as well as some great picnic tables with bbq's provided on the beach. Such a picturesque place. We enjoyed our walk soaking it all in.

We saw a seal bobbing out of the water..
Our next stop was a rest area at Tungeneset with its wooden zigzag walk way onto the rocks to a view point of the razor sharp peaks of the mountains.

We continued the National Tourist Route past Bergsfjord to the 44m wavy platform which overlooks the fjord.

Then over the snowy hill we went and then descended to Senjatrollet, where there is the world's biggest troll and his wife!

There was also a service point in the carpark of which we made good use.

We then stopped in Hamn. Thanks to Our Tour who mentioned that there were laundry facilities for 60nok available at the resort here. It had once been a thriving fishing station.

We spent a couple of hours here whilst washing our clothes before finishing off the day in Gryllefjord. A ferry service departs here to Adenes. As we have time we are going to drive around to these islands instead.
