Andoya Island Norway

Stay: Andoya Is. Wild parking near Nordmela 69.1817 15.8193

 After spending a day put this morning and enjoying the views of the fjord from different angles, we said our goodbyes to our French neighbours.

This catch was nearly 7kg!

We then continued following the 825 which offered some spectacular views.

We then travelled along the E10 and turned off onto the 85 towards Sortland. A few km before the bridge we stopped at Circle K to use the free service point. 

We then continued our journey towards Andoya Island. We stopped for lunch on the way.

 

 Once over the bridge onto the island we travelled on the east side (going anti clockwise) to Andenes.

We stopped here and had a walk around town to the tallest lighthouse in Norway.

 

View towards Bleik. 

 Whale bone... There are boat trips to go out to the Atlantic Ocean to see whales from here.

 

We then parked near the ferry terminal, but soon felt over crowded, so we took off towards Bleik. 

 

We then went further south and found a quiet wild spot near Nordmela. 

 

 

We are planning to stay up to witness the midnight sun. (Photo update to come later).
