Amberg Germany

Travelled :149km
Stay : Amberg stellplatz - free parking, paid services. N49.4403 E11.8622

We all had an earlier start than usual so we managed to use the services and go for a walk before setting off to Amberg, arriving around 11 and luckily got 2 spots.
It was a short walk into the the old walled city and we followed the signs to the Rathaus in Marktplatz.
We strolled around town admiring the pretty, colourful and well decorated buildings.

We even managed to find Eh’hausl (Little Wedding House) claimed by authorities to be the world’s smallest hotel, which was used for couples for one night to circumvent laws prohibiting marriages between poor people.

After lunch we took the bus up to Mariahilberg where today, a week long beer festival began.
We enjoyed the afternoon sampling the local brew and delicacies before making our way back down the hill back to Bluey and McRent.
