Travelled:101km
Stay:Ajdovscina Slovenia - campground €17 incl entry to pool. 45.890800 , 13.900200
Visited: Ljubljana market, Postojna Caves(€28pp, €10 MH day parking ), Predjama Castle (outside only)

We had an action packed day! We began with visiting the Ljubljana central market and tried out a few delicacies including smoked bacon and meats, blueberries and the traditional cream cake from Bled. Oh, and some yummy croissants for breakfast.

Honey Products.
nice beer.

We then set off for the famous Postojna Cave. After avoiding a few traffic jams, we managed to get there in reasonable time and book the 2pm tour. A little train took us 2km into the cave , passing through some pretty caves and tunnels. We then walked along a path through some more caves adorned with lots of different shaped stalagmites and stalactites. They were the biggest caves we have ever visited.
A big cavern at the end with a river flowing through it.

An hour and a half later we returned to the heat of the day and drove  a further 9km to Predjama Castle. A medieval marvel perched in the middle of a 123m high cliff. Behind this largest cave castle in the world there is a network of secret tunnels from where the knight Erazem set out his plundering expeditions.

By now it was getting late in the day and our sights were set on a campground in Ajdovscina. It was a perfect end to the day.
