Einbeck to Paderborn Germany

Travelled:196km
Visited:Einbeck, Paderborn
Stay:Paderborn-€5 parking, € electricty, no facilities (but can be found at another parking), right outside of city wall. N51.722919 E8.754030

We spent a lovely day travelling through beautiful country side, forests and towns.
A few witches on the way...

Our first stop this morning was Einbeck that is well known for its beers. In the Middle Ages the town had 600 breweries. The centre also had some interesting half-timbered houses. We tried one of the local brews -Einbecker and had a yummy sandwhich in one of the cafes'.

A different clock system..

We then drove for a couple of more hours to Paderborn. There were a few areas we could park Bluey but we decided to be closer to town so we could just walk in for a look. We were surprised at the amount of people around. As we went further into town we realised why and later learnt that it was one of the largest and oldest (since 836) festivals in Germany being held here for 9 days! We spent an enjoyable few hours looking at the market, trying out some new beers and soaking up the atmosphere. We also managed to spot a few of the main buildings of interest.

Nice way to cook salmon...

How big are those kebabs?
