After lunch we took the nearly deserted toll road to the Douro River then zig zagged our way on the N108. We programmed Camy for a parking spot in Cinfães. Unfortunately it was fiesta weekend and no place for us, so down we went on a very narrow road to find the bridge to take us back to the north bank! Travelling again on the N108 we felt we had travelled forever in this valley with lots of little villages and vine yards all around. Quite amazing scenery. We were relieved to finally arrive in Peso da Regua and able to park in one of the four designated motorhome spots. It is an important port for the wine/port industry. There are 2 locks/dams between here and Porto allowing river transport for tourists aswell and a railway. We had a walk along the river front before dinner.
