A Coruña Spain

Travelled:86km
Visited: A Coruña
Stay: A Coruña- free parking at the Tore de Hercules, no services (5km at Puerto de San Pedro de Visma), GPS N43.38378 W8.40228

On our way to A Coruña we got a crack in the windscreen. We were lucky to be able to get it fixed at a windscreen repair place.

We then made our way to the oldest town in Galicia and found a spot in the Torre de Hercules car park, in which we were told that it was ok to stay overnight. From here we visited the tower which is the worlds oldest (built by the Romans in the 1st century AD) working lighthouse. The last renovation was done 1788.
In the roman times.

As it is today.

The roman foundations.

Views from the top.

We then explored the old quarter, admiring the buildings, especially those with the glass balconies.

We chose a restaurant to have lunch at the Spanish hour of 3pm! Having delicious little BBQ peppers, spicy mussels and some scallops washed down with a couple of cervezas.

Where we are parked for the night.

Later we strolled along the longest sea promenade in Europe.
