To Baden-Württemberg area Germany

Our destination today was to head north to Germany. The countryside was lovely and the villages were pretty so it made for an interesting drive.

Along the way we stopped for walk around the old town of Buren an der Aare in Switzerland. There were lovely colourful buildings.

We walked across the historic wooden bridge.

The castle was built in 1625 as the official residence for the bailiff.

Just before the border to Germany in Koblenz, we stopped in à Lidl store to spend some CHF (Swiss francs).

We then continued to Tiengen in the Baden-Württemberg area where we had a quick stroll to stretch our legs. The town’s landmark is the Storchenturm (named after the stork nest that was once on top of the tower), a corner post of the old fortifications, built in the 1300’s.

We found a spot for the night in the small town of Stuhlingen We couldn’t resist a quick peek in the church. We did some planning for the next few weeks.

Our favourite Lidl biscuit..
