Buongiorno Italy

Travelled:96km
Visited:Maddalena Pass, Vinadio
Stay:Vinadio-aire, 5eu parking and free services

After being kept awake half the night with the heavy rain, we set off early back down the mountain to Barcelonnette. It was just as beautiful.
Once the blog etc was done we doubled back again, with a brief stop in Jausiers.
From here we went up to Maddalena Pass which is the border of France and Italy.
We enjoyed a bit of Marmotte spotting. I think they must have been italian as they where less shy!

Then it was down the mountain again until we reached Vinadio 904m.

After finding a spot next to a lovely elderly Italian couple who greeted us with 'Mamamia from Australia!' How perfect. It put a smile on our faces.
We went to visit Fort Albertino built in 1849 which was never used but whose length is an impressive 1.2km. We had a stroll around the very neat town before heading back to Bluey for dinner. Our Italian adventure begins.
