Beaufortin Area France

Travelled:119km
Visited: lake and Cormet Roselend, Moutiers, Col de Madeleine
Stay:St.Francois Longchamp 1650 - free parking, no services GPS N45°25.1742' E6°21.8442'

Our first stop this morning was to have breakfast overlooking Lake Roselend. We parked next to a very pretty stone chapel with wooden shingles and two working bells.

Mmmm...big enough for an entre!

After admiring the view and taking the obligatory photos we were driving up to the Cormet Roselend 1968m where we stopped to look at the transportable cow milking shed.

We stopped in Bourg St Maurice to do some shopping where Bob and Robyn bought a new Garmin so they know where their going! Then after lunch we walked around Moutiers.

From here we drove up the zig zag road to the Col de Madeleine 2000m. A popular Tour de France route. The weather was clear enough for a walk up to the ski lifts.

We then managed to find a free parking spot overlooking the mountains in Longchamps 1650. We sat outside enjoying the sunshine and a drink or two.
Water Man!
