Visa day

Travelled:84km
Visited: Bourg en Bresse Prefecture, Narbonne store, Belleville
Stay: Belleville- aire with free parking and services. GPS  N46°06.392' E4°45.253'
We walked 15mins to the Prefecture this morning to get Mark's visa. We were second to be seen and after handing over €260 in Fiscal Stamps and a brief nervous moment of questioning us on when we were married and if I was a French Citizen, Mark was given his 'Carte de Sejour' with an expiry date of 2024! A 10 year residential visa and what we had hoped for. Phew!  So we went and celebrated with a coffee and yummy vanilla slice(Mark) and fruit tart (me) for breakfast!
                                                        Mark- visa man!

We then drove to North Maçon to a Narbonne Motorhome store in the hope the light they had in stock would be the right size to replace our broken one from yesterday. No such luck, but we did buy a hanging wardrobe.

We then drove to Belleville and parked in the aire. Mark has been concerned with the wear of the front tyres on Bluey. After having enquired several times re. the need of replacing them and getting a quote, he decided to rotate the tyres ie move the back to the front, criss-crossed. Our friend Ray would be proud.
                                                           Mark- Tyre Man!
So after the work was done we ventured into the centre of town, having a look in the church and the Hotel Dieu, a hospital for the poor, opened in 1733 and last used in 1991. We searched for a Kebab, but none were open. So we returned to Bluey and had duck with salad.

Mark- Dish Man!

PS. I'm the luckiest wife ever.
