Anso Spain

Travelled:128km from Pamplona to Anso
Visited: Anso
Stay: Anso- free parking at picnic spot next to river, spring water, no services GPS N42.75648 W0.83102

Stormy night and rainy morning. Shared a cuppa and a chat with Mark and Bev as well as a viber catch up with Tom and Claire, before heading out towards Jaca then up along the Anso valley.
The road was narrow but the gorge was picturesque. The town is beautiful with its stone buildings and cobbled streets. We arrived at 1:30 pm just before the 2pm close up time, so we rushed around finding a baguette and some lamb chops and had a cooked lunch with a bottle of red. Needless to say we ended up having a siesta waking up to thunder and hail. So unless the rain eases we will keep cosy and warm in Bluey for the rest of the night. Hopefully tomorrow we can have a better look around.

  1. I hope that the road running between the boulders is not a two-way road!! It would be terrifying.

    1. It is a two-way road. Mark does a great job driving...nerves of steel!
