Goodbye to the Pyrenees France

Travelled:165km
Visited: Saint Martory
Stay:Grenade- aire, free parking and services GPS N43°46.321' E1°17.804'

We had a peaceful night enveloped by the fog like a cocoon and so we woke another wet start to the day. With low visibility we went down the mountain until we reached Saint Martory on the Garonne River. We spotted some other 'white boxes' in a parking area and discovered there was an aire of service. We had breakfast and a bit of a stroll along the river. Then on the road again, many flanked by avenues of trees. A very distinct feature of France. We also passed fields of corn and sunflowers.
We whiled away the rest of the afternoon watching the footy at McD and doing our washing and general clean up. Then headed to the aire in Grenade. Even though it is Bastille Day in France, not all towns were hosting celebrations, including this one. So hopefully it will be a quiet night!
