Stay: le Markstien - parking 47.93382, 7.04154
Yesterday we had a lovely day with Gilbert and Gaby. We went to watch Gilbert play in a tennis tournament at the club where Roger Federer played junior tennis. We then relaxed at the pool where they go on most days and then went to their garden plot to pick some vegetables and fruit to have for dinner.
After breakfast we said our goodbyes and we headed into France. We stopped in Thann and walked around and looked at the church and numerous other buildings along the historical trail.
We then followed the Routes de Cretes in the Vosges Mountains and enjoyed a walk up to the lookout at le Grand Ballon.
From here we found a spot for the night at Le Markstien, a small snow resort. After dinner we went for a stroll and even watched some cows being milked in a small milking shed.
