To Winegrove NSW

After 3 days it was time to say farewell to John and Sue. We are appreciative of their wonderful hospitality and time to show us their bit of paradise.

Our first stop is Maclean, known as the Scottish Town of Australia. On our approach we can see evidence of this in the tartan painted power poles.

As we leave town we pass stretches of cane fields and rolling green hills.
We drive across the historic McFarlane Bridge onto Woodford Island which is the largest inland island in the southern hemisphere!
We follow the Clarence River to the ferry crossing taking us back onto the mainland to Lawrence.
We continue to Grafton where we stop to do some shopping and refuel.

Back on the road we follow the Clarence River up via Copmanhurst until we turn off to Winegrove. We join a few other travellers at lovely spot on the bank of the river. It’s so lovely that we stay a second night.

There’s Buster…
