Oxley Wild Rivers National Park NSW

I don’t want to sound like a broken record about the cold mornings but … it was that cold during the night we had ice on the inside of Buster’s windscreen! We are lucky that the days have been so lovely and warm in the sun to make up for it.
We stop in Walcha and do some shopping and spot some of the sculptures that are around the town.

We the head east in the Oxley Highway to have a look at Aspley Falls in the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park.

We walk 3.6km along the Gorge Rim that is well paved with lots of lookouts to take in the beautiful views of the gorge and the upper and lower falls (accessible via an impressive suspension bridge).

Further along the highway we turned off to go to Tia Falls also situated in a gorge. The views and the falls were lovely and we enjoyed our walk.

After some lunch we drove back towards Walcha and stopped in a rest area 5km out looking out onto a beautiful landscape.
