Tabernas to Costa del Almeria

It was a short drive to the Europe's only desert. 

The area near Tabernas was where those famous Spaghetti Westerns were made, even some of Clint Eastwood's movies were filmed here. Mark had a bit of fun reliving shows he had watched in his youth but decided against visiting either of the two film sets.

 On the way out of Tabernas we couldn't resist stopping at the cafe to take a photo of Bluey in front of the Route 66 sign.

 Having driven through 'American' landscape we were once again reminded of Australia with the roads lined with Gum Trees.

 We took the scenic road towards the coast of Almeria then at Carboneras we finally started heading south.

The valley is covered with plastic hot houses.

 Between the built up resort towns the coast line was quite rugged and made for an interesting drive. After evaluating a couple of possible overnight stops we stopped with a few other motorhomes at a small cove near a nearly deserted resort.

Haven't seen this sort of seawee before.

Where is everyone...must admit sooo glad we are not here in the peak season
