Visited:Lacs des Bouillouses
After a few phone calls this morning we drove practically around the corner to the protected area of the lakes of Bouillouses. We were lucky that it is still the low season. In July and August you can only go to the end of the road by bus @ €5 each. We parked at the foot of the dam wall and got some walking trail information before embarking on a 2 1/2 hour walk to the little lakes of Carlit. We started at 2050m alt and went up to 2200m alt. We once again encountered snow on the track and beautiful alpine scenery. We were happy to find out that we could stay at the camp ground and just have an easy afternoon. Mark did some repairs to the bumper and I did a 'smalls' wash. It was nice to get the chairs out and enjoy the sunny day.
