After some breakfast we wondered down to the very impressive Plaza D'Espana built in 1929. We spent a bit of time looking at regional scenes on ceramic tiles decorating the sides of the building.
We then hired a cyclobike built for 4 and peddled our way through the pretty Maria Luisa park for half an hour @ €12.
Along the way we passed the Universidad, the third largest building in Spain. It used to be the Royal tobacco factory, employing 10,000 female cigar makers.
We had lunch just near the Torre del Oro, a defensive lookout built in 1220.

Then it was time for a siesta back at the apartment.
Before dinner we ventured out into the little streets of the old Jewish Quarter.
This is the court yard the apartment looks out on.
