To Courseulles sur Mer

Travelled:63km
Stay: Courseulles sur Mer-free parking along beach, no services N49°20.229' W0°27.976' / 49.3373, -0.46655

Just as we were about to leave this morning, we were handed our marching orders from a very friendly policewoman, fair enough as we were all parked in the boat ramp carpark! it was good timing as we were leaving anyway and we had a very quiet night and a good sleep!
So off we trundled along the coast stopping in Houlgate and Cabourg for short walks along the foreshore boardwalks to admire the buildings.

We then continued on to Ouistreham, which was the most eastern point of the D Day landings on 6 June 1944 called Sword Beach.

We had a quick look in Bernieres sur Mer

and then stopped in Courseulles sur Mer to visit the Canadian Museum about the Juno Beach landings. As it took us over 2 hours, so by the time we finished it was past 4pm, we decided to join the other 'white boxes' that were parked a little further up the beach. We then went for a walk and read the interpretive signs along the beach.
