Cap Fréhel to Binic France

Travelled: 96km
Stay: Binic- large Aire, free parking and services N48°36.027' W2°50.104' /  48.60048, -2.83339

After a night on our own, (we have only been alone a handful of times), we drove to visit Cap Fréhel. We braved the winds and walked about the pink sandstone headland, admiring the rugged coastline and the granite lighthouse.

Then off we set along the road through moorlands and we were admiring the dramatic views. Unfortunately Mark was looking left and I was looking right and poor Bluey ended up hitting a bollard on the side of the road! There are soooo many bollards in France and finally one got us. It's amazing what can happen in a blink of an eye. Luckily Bluey took the brunt of it all and we are safe and sound.

So after spending the rest of the morning on the phone to the very helpful insurance company (MAAF) and to Mr Martin whom we purchased the Motorhome from, we are now waiting to hear from the Italians on how long it will take to get the parts! All of Blueys lower plastic side panels  and rear bumper need replacing along with the door and the internal step. We have a gaping hole where the first step used to be! Mark has since screws a piece of timber over the step so we are airtight again.

So in a bit of a daze we continued our trip along the coastal road and ended up in the Aire in Binic.
If it stops raining we may gather the enthusiasm to go for a walk into town.
