Dinard and Dinan France

Travelled: 44km
Stay:Dinan- Aire next to Bridge near Port. € parking, no services N48°27.252' W2°02.309' / 48.45365, -2.03839

We arrived in Dinard around 9:30 and managed to get a great parking spot right near the main beach. We had our breakfast and then paid for the parking for 2 hours, but because its free between 12 and 2pm, our ticket was valid until 2pm! So off we went on our walks along both sides of the rocky foreshore and through the streets, admiring the great architecture and the great views of the bay and St.Malo. We then had galettes for lunch in a Creperie Restaurant.

We were surprised at the amount of space at the Aire in Dinan, especially being such a pretty town and a Sunday. We enjoyed spending the afternoon exploring the port and the fortified medieval city. Again we loved the varied architecture and the ancient timbered buildings, that we don't know how they are still standing.

Specialty of Brittany...lots of butter and sugar. It was yummy!
