Minerve and Capestang

Travelled : 96km
Stay:Capestang a parking spot just out of town along side of the Canal du Midi.  43.33084,3.04115

Another beautiful and hot day. We stopped to do some shopping in Lezignan-Corbières and then drove to the medieval town of Minerve. It sits on an isolated spur of limestone plateau carved by two rivers on either side. Quite unique. We enjoyed our stroll around the pleasant little town.

As the mercury rose, we were beckoned to find a shady spot along the Canal du Midi, so we set off to Capestang and were lucky enough to find a parking spot just out of town. There were many boats stopped here and the town had a lovely square with many cafe/restaurants. After dinner we had a nice walk along the canal.
