Briançon, France

Travelled: 135km
Stay: Brainçon Aire free parking and services N44.89010 E6.62824

Had a chat to a couple of Australians this morning from Tasmania who are touring for 5 months after buying their van in England. We then set off for the mountains towards France. We stopped in a pretty italian alpine village of Rua.

After wondering around and buying some bread for lunch, we decided to keep going to Sestrière. A huge ski resort which was very busy due to a motorcar rally being held.

This also resulted in a deviation via Cesena which was down the mountain.

Then we were through a tunnel and into France we drove and into Briançon. We spent sometime in McD, Mark watching the Bombers just beat the Bulldogs. We then found the Aire and managed a walk through town before the nightly rain shower and storm. I was surprised that there was not one mention in town that today was Bastile Day.
