Went for a walk down the La Rambla, a main shopping and tourist area. We stopped to visit the market and enjoyed all the colourful displays of food.
We then decided to do a free walking tour of the Gothic area of Barcelona that was highly recommended on Trip Advisor. Starting at the Travel Bar and finishing off near the Port area. Learned some interesting facts on history and art of Barcelona.
With rumbling stomachs we were recommended the paella at the Salamanca on the beach in Barcelonetta. We weren't disappointed.
Feeling very full we slowly made our way along the beach, then back through the narrow streets admiring the buildings and soaking in the atmosphere.
