Woke up to sunshine and drove down to les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil in the Vézère Valley. This valley is predominated by prehistoric sites. We walked around the village and visited the prehistoric museum with items found in the area.
Les Eyzies
We then went up the valley to visit La Roque Saint-Christophe, which is a cliff 1km long and 80m high, where man has inhabited since 50,000BC to the 16th Century. It was very interesting to see how they would have built the buildings into the cliff that at one stage accommodated 1000 people.
La Roque
We then left the valley and drove to Beynac-et-Cazenac, on the Dordogne River. They offer free Motorhome parking (allowed to stay overnight), so we parked and walked to visit the Castle and the village (classified as one of the prettiest villages of France)! An enjoyable visit with fantastic views of the Dordogne Valley.

I know it is 3 years ago where where did you find free parking in Beynac. We have found some but it is so far out it would take a a couple of hours to walk to the village and the castle. Ann Love your blogs by the way.
