Carcassonne France

Travelled: 153km
Stay: wild camping along the Canal du Midi   43.25545, 2.12707

Drove south to Carcassonne and stopped to visit its medieval cité, that has been a strategic site for over 2000 years. We did a tour of the ramparts and the Chateau. Whilst walking along the very touristy streets we couldn't resist eating a pizza made by a chef that won the title of the 4th best in the world! It was very good and the guitar player created a great atmosphere.

We then went in search for the midi canal. Winding through narrow country roads on the way to Bram, we spotted a canal boat stop that had enough place on the bank for Bluey. So we have spent the rest of the afternoon in the company of various boats and had a leisurely walk along the bank under the shade of the trees. No complaints.
