Perigueux (Dourdogne/Perigord Region)

Travelled : 272km
Stay: Aire 5eu Perigueux (Dourdogne/Perigord Region)   45.18599, 0.72801

Rain, rain please go away! But it looked like it had set in, a real pea souper, so we did what we could only do and drove until it rained no more...hence the kms for today. This region has the second largest amount of Castles (after the Loire) and is also well known for its Truffles and  foie gras. After arriving late in the afternoon, we went for a walk in the medieval quarter and visited Cathedrale St.Front , topped with many domes. Many buildings are made from white limestone. We look forward to exploring more tomorrow.
