Albi France

Travelled: 0 km
Stay: Albi - free Aire parking, N43.92750 E2.14111

We had a great day walking around Albi. We started with a visit of Sainte Cécile Cathedral. It was amazing. For only 2 euros each, we spent the better of 1 1/2 hours with the audio guide. Here are some facts: it is the largest BRICK cathedral in the world, it has the largest organ in France, no surface is left untouched by Italian artists, it has the largest painting of the Last Judgement, it has one of the last remaining Great Choir enclosures.

We spent the rest of the day following the three walking itineraries suggested on the town map from the tourist office. Stopping to read all the points of interest, we learnt a lot about the town.

This bridge was built in 1026! On of the oldest in France still in use.

Later we re-energised with a yummy ice-cream and a chill out in Bluey with an aperitif  then we went out again.
