Sierre and Zinal

Travelled : 65km
Stay: Zinal - free parking,  no services at end of the road. N46.12716 E7.63073
Visited: Sierre,  walk near Zinal in the Anniviers Valley
After a peaceful night and a bit of a sleep in, we zigged zagged down into the Valais Valley through the vineyards and pretty little towns until we reached the B road to Sierre. The clouds had lifted, giving us a great views.

The poles are to indicate the size of the new building.

We got to Ford a bit early so while we waited we did some research on our next destination and then went for a walk through Sierre.

Bluey was ready to get back on the road by 3pm. Not exactly sure what the part was called due to language differences but it seems to regulate the temperature of the engine that effects the exhaust fumes which in turn can block up the exhaust filter effecting the engine power ???? Anyway it was fixed and fingers crossed that it will be the last big ticket item we will need to spend for this trip! We had a lovely drive up the Anniviers Valley, deciding to drive right to the end just past Zinal. We parked up next to a Dutch van and had a drink and a bite to eat before going for a couple of hours walk further up the valley along the river. We got some great views and worked up an appetite for a BBQ dinner. A lovely way to end the day although not sure how quiet the night will be as the we can hear the  bells from the dairy cows which are just in the paddock next to us!

It's all about the cheese!

The view of the valley we walked up.
Nothing like a BBQ dinner!
