Travelled: 208km

Stay: Calatayud- aire, free parking and services walking distance to town. N41. 350739 W1.646300
It was a pleasant drive to Zaragoza.
The parking area near Santiago bridge we had chosen off camper contact was full (there was only 1  local van the rest cars) but we followed the locals and parked on a traffic island next to the park.  Fingers crossed that we would not come back to a fine stuck on the windscreen.
As we crossed the Ebro River we were greeted by a terrific view of the huge Basilica with its 11 brightly tiled cupolas. We ventured inside and admired  it's interior and would have loved to take photos but respected the rules.

We had a quick look through the market and enjoyed a tapas from one of the many choices on offer. There were a few museums on offer but time was against us as the 2pm closer was looming.

So we decided to continue our journey towards Madrid, stopping on the way in Calatayud for the night.

We spent the afternoon walking around. The old part of the town is a bit run down but the square certainly had some character. We enjoyed a tapas and a beer before heading back to Bluey. We enjoyed a pleasant evening chatting to fellow Australian motorhomers.
