After a very stormy night we were happy to see some blue skies which continued into the day. On our trek southwards today we drove over the Dordogne, the Lot and the Garonne Rivers.
We drove  through the pretty Bergerac wine countryside and stopped to visit a couple of Bastide villages. These are fortified medieval villages which commonly have a central market square surrounded by arcades and a grid layout. We firstly visited Eymet in the Perigord region which was founded in 1270. We parked next to the ruins of the original castle and went for a walk around.

Back in Bluey we searched for an aire and decided on Labastide d'Armagnac.
The parking area is a large grassy area but is a bit soft and muddy.  After finding a dryer spot we explored the pretty but small village before taking time enjoying the sunny afternoon.
