As it wasn't raining we decided to take the tourist office lady's suggestion and go for a walk in the Ordesa National Park.
We drove 11km up then 13km along a narrow but picturesque road following the Vellos River into the Anisclo Canyon.
Gamy wasn't happy loosing reception and not sure if we were going to fit!
The chapel
From here we took Bluey out of the gorge and over the hill into the Valley Vio.
The road was still narrow but a lot more open with lovely views.
Just before we got back to the main road we were caught up in a herd of sheep heading up to summer pastures.
On our way to Alquezar we travelled through varied landscapes.
This a a church! It looks more like a factory.
On our approach to this Moorish village, we marvelled at the spectacular setting. The 16th century collegiate church dominates a hill jutting above the Rio Vero Canyon with the ancient village next to it.
We parked Bluey in the large car park and after some 'homemade' tapas, we ventured down to explore. As it is the low season there is hardly anyone here but also no shops are open except the restaurants. Admittedly it was between 12:30 and 16:00 when everything closes in Spain.
We waited to visit the church @ €2.50 each with its lovely cloister and alfrescos.

Typical chimneys of this region.
Not sure if I would like to post my mail in this letter box
Apparently these ward off evil spirits.
It's 4pm, so of to visit the church we go.
We then made our way back to Bluey and settled in along with one other french motorhome.
Tonight 'cady' the BBQ is out for the first time...duck tenderloins are on the menu!
