Driving to Lucca

Travelled:157km
Visited:San Gimignano
Stay: Lucca- €10/24hr parking, services included  GPS N43.84028 E10.48878

After a quiet night we travelled to Poggibonsi to go to the Rimor factory in the hope of getting a few parts. Unfortunately they dont sell anything to the public but a very kind lady did manage to give us some round stickers for the panels. Our next stop was San Gimignano. As we got close to the centro a man on his scooter from a camper site waved to us to follow him! He offered parking for €6/day and €22/night with free transport the short way back to the centre. So off we went and to visit the medieval village along with 1000's of others. As we strolled around we saw some of the 14 towers left of the original 72 which were a sign of family prosperity. At 334m alt the lookouts offered some lovely views.

Three hours later we were once again on the road with Bluey heading for Lucca.

On the way we drove through Pisa and managed a glimpse of the leaning Tower. Not feeling upto braving more crowds late in the day,

we decided to continue on to Lucca and will see how we feel after visiting this town.
