Nimes: we finally managed to find the parking out at Parnasse, where parking is free and it only cost 3 euros for up to 8 people (return) to catch the Navette (bus) to the Arena (amphitheatre) in Nimes. The Nimes amphitheatre outer walls are more complete. Unfortunately we could not visit inside as they were preparing for biannual famous weekend bullfight festival. We watched a film about the history of Nimes from the gladiators to the bullfighters, in the Maison Carre, a roman temple. Entered a few cathedrals and walked around the old quarter. A very interesting and classy, well maintained town. We then headed out to an Aire in Remoulins, a town 3 km out from the Pont du Gard (tomorrow). Walked around the old village.
