Annot France

Traveled:18km (Big day!)
Stay: 1night, Annot - free Aires, free services N43°57.793' E6°39.860' / 43.96329, 6.6649

Headed down the road not expecting to stay in Annot, but the fellow at the tourist information office convinced us to go for a 3 hour circuit walk offering magnificent views of the valley and Alps. We also walked through what is called the Kings Chamber where legend has it that an exiled King hid out here. The path was quite difficult in sections and was actually a water course. We decided not to rush off, as my cousin rang to let me know that the registration papers had still not arrived. Technically our 1 month provisional registration ends on the 5 May. After settling into the Aire, we went for a walk around the medieval village, whose church foundations were laid down in 1010. BBQ dinner tonight.

  1. Beautiful views! Well worth the walk! Reminded me of the Victorian Grampians in one photo.
