Travelled : 155km
Stay: free Aire Malzieu Ville with services N44°51.302' E3°20.003' / 44.85513, 3.33177

Rainy day. Still managed to enjoy the gorges drive, but too wet to stop. We couldn't believe it, as we drove into Millau, the rain stopped and the only big of sun ray was shinning on the viaduct. We waited out the rain at McD. When the rain stopped so we set off to visit the town but it was like a desert, (more people were at McD!). As it was lunch time EVERYTHING was closed and it lacked atmosphere, so we decided to go and see the famous viaduct. We visited the  information centre at the bottom and took lots of photos. We then drove to the southern side so we could drive north over the bridge. It only cost 10.50eu. Fantastic. Then on the other side there was another information centre and a viewing platform at the top. More photos.  It truly is an engineering marvel of the modern era. The storm was brewing (lucky so far re: the bridge) so we high tailed it out if there and drove on one of the longest FREE motorways in France. We reached le Malzieu Ville, which we are looking forward to visiting tomorrow as its still raining.
