Midway Point Tasmania

We met up with Tom and the family in Davenport. After a bit of shopping we headed off west along the scenic coastal drive along to Penguin. It’s a pretty seaside town that is named after the nearby penguin rookery. We had to get the obligatory photo with the ‘giant penguin’ found on the seashore esplanade. We didn’t linger for too long as we were mindful of getting a spot at the free camp at Midway Beach. We got such a great spot and the weather was perfect that we decided to stay a second night. We enjoyed some beach time and exploring the rock pools at low tide.
