The road in the Gawler Ranges National Park was not great.
We paid our daily fee of $10.50 and went for a walk to Yangdinga Falls. As expected there was no water but a pretty walk nevertheless.
The 10km drive to the Organ Pipes was atrocious especially as this is the main attraction! Anyway we admired the rock formations.
This is only one section of the park but the road conditions have reduced our enthusiasm of further exploration (just had enough of the corrugations). So we head south to a favourite camping spot at Pildappa Rock. Unfortunately it will become a day use only next year.
Mark catches up on some running repairs of the gas bbq along with a bit of a cleanup after our shaky roads….a few loose screws here and there. We also discovered that a bottle of soft drink leaked out our cupboard that we keep our coats located above our electrical locker but due to the hot weather it had all evaporated! Lucky. The day nears an end and it’s quite windy so we will climb the rock tomorrow.
