Today we travel via Elliston to Point Drummond Eyre Peninsula South Australia
As luck would have it we arrived at the Colton Bakehouse just as the baker was loading up his roadside stall. He is relatively new at it having bought the residence associated with it only 18 months ago. He went to learn how bake and to use the oven in Farina. At the Elliston Jetty we put a cuppa on and enjoyed the fruit buns we bought.
We then admired the coastal views along a drive just out of the township.
On the way further south we popped into a rest area that talked about the making if the dry walls that are still seen in the fields.
We bypassed a few things as we have been here before and made a v line for Drummond Point. We were surprised that there was no one else here… maybe by the end of the day someone will turn up.
We return to our spot we had last time and settle in. We obviously disturbed a brown snake as it slithered away hopefully we won’t see it again..Mark got the shovel out just in case! I then discovered that the UHT milk boxes did not enjoy the corrugations of the last week or so. So it was clean up time. Luckily it wasn’t a complete empty just a leak although a bit smelly. We while away the afternoon sitting in the sun with a breeze and the sound of the waves…
looking forward to a beautiful sunset this evening.
