Kings Park Perth WA

Travelled: 158km via Perth, Kings Park, Cottesloe, Scarborough and Matagarup Bridge, Western Australia
Stay: Maida Vale-Advent Park $38 powered

As we couldn’t stay in Fremantle tonight, this morning we moved to Maida Vale, unhitched and went off to explore.

In the late 70’s Mark lived and worked in the Perth suburbs and so we went to have a look to see how much things had changed in the last 40 years.. the stair factory he owned was gone but the old house in Victoria Park was amazingly still standing! We drove past Elizabeth Quay.

We then parked up in Kings Park and enjoyed a pleasant walk admiring the city and river views.
Found a Bloom…

Some plants were in flower too.

We took a photo of the iconic blue boat house…but we aren’t sure on its significance apart from becoming an Instagram and advertising sensation.

Anyway we the continued on to Cottesloe and Scarborough…Mark was once again blown away with the development of these areas…
View of Fremantle Port.

We decided to have a closer look at the Matagarup Bridge (black and white swans) next to Optus Stadium and learnt some more intersections facts. We also saw people doing a walk to the top….

We did a quick shop and then headed back to camp before going out with one of Mark’s old friends, Damien and Dallas, for dinner.
