Landshut Germany

Travelled:69km
Stay:Landshut Germany-carpark €1/24hr  48.531101 , 12.144700

Our reason for going to Erding was to collect a Garmin video cable for the reversing camera to connect to the gps. Unfortunately it is out of stock and we ended up getting a refund. Our next dilemma was to find a coin laundromat (waschsalon in German). Again we ditched out in Erding and had to return to Freising. We paid €1.50 parking, €3 x 2 for washing and €2 to dry...even though it’s 38°c we have no room to hang the clothes! By this time we had made up our mind of our destination ...back to plan A-  Krakow Poland then Romania, Bulgaria....
So on the road we went and decided to stop in Landshut in Lower Bavaria. We parked up and walked through the park along the Isar River into the centre.

Trausnitz Castle sits up on the hill above the town.

The impressive 130m bell tower of St.Martins church stands tall above the medieval centre. With an interior height of 29m it is not only the tallest church in Bavaria but also the tallest BRICK building in the world!

As we strolled through town we admired the colourful gabled buildings.

The brief storm that rolled by only managed to make things steamy so we retreated back to Bluey and found some shade.
