London-Greenwich and Cutty Sark

We started the day with a visit in the free Greenwich Museum and had a look at the Painted Hall and Chapel.

We then visited the Greenwich Meridian.

The prime meridian was established in 1851 and is an important reference.

At the Royal Observatory we learnt a lot about the history of astronomy and navigation.

We then energised ourselves with a traditional pastie and mushy peas.

Then headed to The Cutty Sark which was a famous tea clipper from China and then transported wool and coal from Australia. She was the fastest and greatest boat of her time.
