La Hague, Jobourg cliffs to Flamanville France

Travelled: 68km
Visited: Le Hague, Jobourg Cliffs and the Western coastal roads.
Stay:Sciotot- free parking, sea views N49°30.5130' W°51.0246'

Another very wet start to the day. Such a pity, but we still managed to enjoy the breathtaking coastal roads.  We squeezed Bluey along narrow roads to the lighthouse at Goury on Cape Hogue. We stopped in the parking area for motorhomes and had some fried baguette for breakfast. The only way to eat day old baguette.

We then made our way to thd Cliffs of Jobourg, 128m above the sea. We walked along the coast a short while but dared not continue too long as the weather was turning once more.

The cows dont seem to worried about the nuclear treatment plant behind them,
It was in the rain we continued our journey to Flamanville, past many picturesque villages of stone cottages. On the way we stopped at numerous lookouts to take in the coastal views including that of the dunes near Biville.

We had a cooked lunch in Bluey as we parked at the harbour in Dielette, just before Flamanville. As we were finishing our bottle of wine, the sun came out and we were able to see the coast in a different light.
We drove past the Nuclear Plant and we were surprised at the among of cars parked in the facinity. Obviously it is a major employer in the area.
Shortly after we drove into Sciotot and found a wonderful spot to park overlooking the beach. The sun was out and beckoned us for a lovely stroll along the wide sandy bay. Truly a beautiful place to spend the rest of the day.
