Calvados, Normandy

Travelled:241km
Visited:Beaumont-en-Auge, Beuvron-en-Auge, Cambremer
Stay:Cambremer- aire, free mixed parking, € water with jeton, free dump. N49.149601 E0.046920

We decided to get some kms done today, so we travelled on the autoroute for 83km- toll €12. We got off  just after the bridge near Honfleur (another €6 toll) and drove through very picturesque countryside with beautiful half timbered buildings, some with thatched roofs.

We stopped in Beaumont-en-Auge, set on a ridge overlooking the Touques valley, Deauville and the sea. Unfortunately the weather was not in our favour for views. We had a stroll around and bought a baguette and a couple of vanilla slices for lunch.

We then drove to Beuvron-en-Auge, a classified 'prettiest village of France'. We parked in the aire and walked through the popular tourist village admiring the buildings.

We are now in the Normandy Calvados region, famous for its cider and of course, Calvados (apple brandy).

We continued on the Cider Route to Cambremer where we decided to stay. We explored the town and bought a local brew before returning to Bluey.
